If you could order any year truck...
Wow! I just learned that Ford still makes the Twin I-Beam for the SuperDuty! Now I have another dream truck: An F250 Superduty (Great Looking Truck!) with a fuel injected 460 V8! Also would love to see an inline six in that beast, perhaps with a six speed manual that has a creeper first.

If you could order any year truck...
tallpaul:
I have always felt that Ford offered two types of trucks to the public. An weird design and a traditional. Guess which kind is the traditional. I have said time and time again, if ford ever offered a Big Block V8 in a pickup, I would be in line for one.
hotrodford_88: I don't mind racing other Ford's because I know that most likely it will be an even draw. But in that case, no thank you. I will save my embarrassment.

My first truck that I ever personally owned was a 86' F-150 4x4. It had a straight six 300 and 4 speed manual trans. It also had a XLT standard cab and 8' bed. I was a typical kid with his first 4x4. I never bent a fender even though I have had it airborn several times. I went through a clutch, a set of brakes and at least two tires every 10,000 miles. Nothing like being in the woods just hanging out with friends, a case of beer and a 4x4. Things would get ugly by the end of the night. That poor truck needed help when I traded it in. It lasted me six years. I traded it for my currant 92' F-250. I love my 250 but if I knew then what I know now, I would probably still have that 86'. I was never really keen on the 4spd w/overdrive trans but there were a lot of good memories with that truck.

Pastmaster,
Actually just tonight I was contemplating building that very truck! It could be loads of fun, considering the amount of little Mustangs I have running around down here.
