Random Pop

I have a 95 F150 2wd and just recently it started making a popping noise when taking corners. I have checked the U-Joints and 2 shops have backed me up with this that they are fine. There is nothing that I can find out of place, but I have been told that the little plastic chips between my rear leafs may be gone to the point that my springs are popping. Anybody have any other ideas?

How about the ball joints? Maybe it's the body mounts. Inspect those.

I borrowed the lift at the local shop for 30 minutes and went over everything but the ball joints, all the engine and tranny mounts are fine, along with the body mounts as far as I could tell. It sounds like it is coming from the rear end of the vehicle and the bed seems to magnify it.

Check your upper control arm mounting bolts.

I didn't know I had upper and lower control arms on a 95 2WD pickup. I thought I had the IFS with upper and lower ball joints on the axel arm.

Yeah, you have the TTB suspension with the upper and lower ball joints. Not upper and lower control arms. It sounds like it could be the spring leafs moving around. Are the spring clamps still on there? Are the plastic spacers missing? You might want to try spraying a little WD-40 on them and see if the problem continues.

I did and it hasnt done it since, all the plastics are still there and look good, but I'm not sure, I might tear the spring pack apart and redo them just to be sure. Kinda a worrier about them things.

Sorry about that. That shows you how much I know about the new Hi-tech Fords. 72 is about as new as I will ever own.
