Lug Pattern Change

Finding the style wheels I want is proving hopeless. Every wheel company has the 5x 4 1/2" (common on Ford cars), 5x 4 3/4" (Chevy cars) and the 5x 5" (chevy trucks). The 5x 5.5" we have isn't made. Has anyone heard of drilling a different pattern on the rotor hat and changing the studs to a more common pattern. I have found adapters that would work on the rear where the spacing of the wheels wider apart would not be as affected as the front end. Ride on

Redrilling sounds like alot of work, and not quite as safe. I'd just keep looking for the right wheels. Most aftermarket wheels can be ordered with the correct bolt pattern. If you want newer factory or used ones, look at the newer F150s/Broncos. I have factory aluminum wheels off a '91 F150 - I think as new as '96 will fit.

Just a thought...

tell them you have a 1995 ford pickup same bolt pattern but verify the backspacing offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel so you can figure backspacing from there...
