Steering columns

Will a automatic steering column out of a 2 wheel drive work , in a 4x4 . Im thinking of switching my 78 to automatic from 4 speed . iI have a 2 wheel drive doner truck but steering box mount in different places.

ya, you have to use the center shaft from the 4x4 colume in the 2x4 colume. mudder trucker.
