FE Cobra Jet Shaker

What would be the problem of putting a 428 Cobra Jet Shaker ram-air setup on a '69 Ranger with a 390 4bbl/c-6 combo? Would the best sound be loud or quite headers with today's gas price of 2.50 ^? It's already got the red paint.

I guess besides being expensive has anyone seen it done before? If I'm not mistaken it was 1969 when the shaker hood first came out on cars. I've search for pictures of one (on a truck) with no luck.

i personally havent seen the hood on a truck except for some dakotas, and also some of the mid 2000's mustangs to date. now as far as the sound, you really wont get any different sound out of the headers, you will just get some better flow with the different size tubes. there will be a slight variation in tone, but not that much, but your choice in mufflers will greatly vary sound, and performance, if you add headers, and a performance exhaust, then you will probably get better mileage, that is if you can keep your foot out of the loud pedal!!
