thanx, that seems to be all i can find out, that ford decided to run the xtra parts they had but instead of clling the rest of the production 98's the kept the 97 year, then in the middle of the year of 98 they called them 99's.. which throws the bank 's off , because now they will not loan on a 97, because it is one year too far, but the truck would have been a 98, and would be eligible for a loan. so now i have trouble selling this truck, cause no one will loan on it, and i will have trouble buying a newer one....oh well, said the cat..............lol

yea, 97 last year old style, 99 first year super duty style, with longer production runs on each. i believe some 98 250's existed that looked like the 97-03 f150's, but definatly no 350's.

You can get info from Ford on this. Nope, there aren't any 98's. They're all extended production 97's. You can go by build date/purchase date and maybe get a lender to recocnize that. It'll be tough though. The computer won't accept the date. Keep it another year and it won't matter.
