Well, the way some people drive in YC, I'll be on my toes. jk

Went to oroville this afternoon and people were driving like they all were drunk. Must have been the heat. Either that or all the nuts were out today.

Zombieslayer, do you take your 65 F100 out here to Reno for Hot August Nights? If so, it must be pretty clean. My step daughter got caught in the parade a few years ago in here POS car. It was an old Datsun or something like that. Hardly clean either. What a crack up. She was so embarrassed. All the spectators were cursing her to get her POS out of the parade. There was no way out until the next intersection and all the cross streets were blocked off. She got caught somehow in traffic merging into the parade lineup. Poor girl.
My son also has a 65 F100 4x4. Last I talked to him, he was considering selling due to the cost of fuel these days. Sounds like yours might be a nice rig to show off at the NorCal Sactown Meet!

No, not quite clean

Check out the photos on my site...still looks that way.....3 years later. One of these days I'll get time and money at the same time and get back to work on it.

Hey, your truck looks almost identical to my sons truck. Except his is lifted. Same color and everything. Plus, his is freshly painted and doesn't have the oops on the front. I think he is going to sell it due to gas prices, as I stated earlier. What do you think he could get for it?

Offhand without pics and all the details I'd guess around $3-$5k.

I paid $400 for mine and 2 parts trucks. Got it from a tow service in Placerville. Bought it off eBay sight unseen Drove it home and 3 days later tore it down. Lost job 3 days after that and took a HUGE pay cut when I finally did find work.

Hoping to fix that this week though

You got that right. Way too hot.

When it feels like 115F in the shade, it's hard to get up motivation to work on anything, let alone a vehicle.

I should be able to make it down. The wife is excited about it too.

Anyone going to bring anything to swap or trade? I got a bunch of crap, that could be somebody's golden nugget.

I have five or six 1978 to 1986 aluminum hub caps that fit F-250 or F-350. for instance. fair to good condition littering the yard, somewhere. .

If anyone's interested in doing that... Just an idea.

Last I heard was Mels Diner. Not sure where that is even.
I e-mailed Aaron (Chapter Leader) suggesting a confirmation. I'm sure when he gets a break he will chime in with something. Keep checking back. The 6th is just around the corner.

Anybody from the South Bay Area interested in sharing a ride up there? I'd like to go, but I just can't see burning $50 worth of gas for the round trip, especially as I'm currently "between jobs" (hopefully!). I'm happy to use my truck, if I can defray the fuel expense somewhat.
