Did every engine come with the brace? I have the 302, it has no extra brace to the intake but I don't think it ever had one(been in the family since new).

I'm kind of wondering that also.
My engine is a 460 that was transplanted, but I don't remember seeing a 460 that had that brace. As a matter of fact....the only place I've seen that bracket is FE's.
Somebody enlighten us here.
Mil1ion, Does your 429 have the brace that runs from the top of the compressor down to the intake, or exhaust manifold?

I spotted one of those in a U pull it about 3 miles from my house last week. It was in a 76 1/2 ton Ranger.

It always works out that way. I got bored last night and looked through the FTE classifieds. There are some realy good deals there, but every thing I saw that I wanted was on the other side of the U.S. LOL. Just my luck.

it does always seem to be like that i can always find the more common parts like a 460 or 351w but i have a hard time finding the fe parts and sometimes shipping them is too expensive i found a 4 bbl intake on ebay for 10.00 but i found out shipping from FL to Ca was 113.00 i lucked out and found a edelbrock one for 99.00 and free shipping.

An FE Edelbrock for 99?? That's a great deal. When I had my 390, I bought an edelbrock from PAW in California. The shipping was free, but the intake was almost 300. I wish I new you wanted one....I could have hooked you up. I would have even packed it in a dole box so that it smelled good! Sorry...I had to say that. lol

I agree. A shipment of automotive components can't possibly be complete with out a Dole box.
There is a guy on one of the threads that is talking about LMC. I'm going to see if I can locate it and PM you. I wish you would put your 2 cents worth in on that thread before that fellow makes a mistake.
