timing light doesn't work
I just finished installing an msd ignition box on my 78f100 with transplanted 351w. thought I would check the timing after I got it running. My timing light doesn't work now,and it did before I installed the ignition box. what could have been affected that would make the timing light not work,and is there anything I can do to make it work again? thanks for any help or ideas,Ben

I got this off of the MSD site.
What kind of timing light are you using? Many lights have trouble reading the MSD's capacitive discharge multiple sparks. Dial back timing lights are not recommended. Try another non-adjustable light and check the timing again. MSD offers a Timing Light, PN 8990.

my timing light is adjustable,so maybe that is the problem. I'll see if I can find a friend that has one I could borrow,or I could pick up a cheap one somewhere. thanks for the answer,dave
