is it normal
hi is it normal to have 2 cables going to the neg batt one cable is fairly short goes behind the gen/alt the outher cable goes down under the motor looks like it goes to the outher side... I was going to replace the neg cable till i saw two of them now i dont know what to do...
any advice would be great...

You should have two cables on the positive side, and the negative side. The negative side has one that goes to the body of the truck (frame, fender, something like that) and one that goes to the engine block, tying the engine which is on rubber mounts, electronically to the frame and body.
