This didn't happen to me, but a friend of mine (now a Ford dealer, go figure) went bow-hunting for three days. Didn't even get a smell after lots of stomping through the mountains in miserable weather. He finally decides "the heck with it," loads up his Jeep and comes back down the mountain. It's dark, it's raining, he's in a bad mood, and he's coming down a logging road probably a wee bit too fast. Comes around a corner and nails a 8-pointer. Hard. Antler punched through the radiator, rearranged the front bumper and grill- a few grand worth of body damage...but he got his deer that year!

Guess who had to drive out and haul the Jeep, deer, and wounded ego back to civilization?

I ran over two sheets of plywood with a 50# box of 10d nails strapped together! I thought it was just cardboard. Hit the box of nails with the rear differential of the delivery truck I was driving. By the time I made my delivery and turned around, 30 minutes i guess. There were four cars with flat tires and two highschool aged kids sweeping up the nails. The owner of the company the kids were working for bought everybody new tires. THe guys at the tire place couldn't believe it. THere was not a place on the four rear tires of my truck that didn't have a nail in it.
