Shift Lag
OK..I drive an 03 E150 Conversion.
When going up hills, it will downshift.
I have a 4.6V8.
The lag between down and up shifts when under load is the worste I have ever felt!
Does any one have any ideas on how to firm up the shifts?
I loose about 3mph when it downshifts.
I have also noticed that when I come to a stop, there is a shudder as the tranny hunts for low. The dealer said they did not find any codes or feel anything. Ya, OK!
I know some have suggested that the SC Tunner could firm up the shift, but I would prefer to just do something with the trans as the whole set up, motor and trans, still gets me 17-19 mpg on the road running at 65-80.
