Tire size difference
Is there a difference between a P265/75R16 and a LT265/75R16?

Shouldn't be. "P" designates passenger and "LT" designates Light Truck.
The LT's usually have a higher weight limit.

LT tires are sometimes 0.1" - 0.2" taller, but I consider that very insignificant.
The real difference is in the number of plys, weight rating, and max psi.
