I just updated my Java with the latest and greatest. Now when I try logging onto the chat I see the chat screed for just a brief second and then it goes gray....ugh

Make sure you don't have scripts blocked. The site seems to use java scripts intensely.

After I made the post above, the puter locked up again.
Finally had to Crash it and reboot.

Hmmm, maybe my puter saw me.

 

Hmm...There are several of us that are becoming regulars in there on Saturday nights. Nuthin, 51dueller, hotrod48, myself. Occasionally there are others (other areas of fte) who pop in from time to time. As far as I know, almost everyone is using Firefox that can actually get in easily. I have not tried the new Internet Explorer (7), but it may work.

Polarbear and his daughter keep hitting refresh like 20 times (using IE) and they eventually get in.

 

I'm using IE 7, today was the first time I tried to log in since I started running it. Just plain Uuugly.

I haven't been able to get on the live chat for months.

I figure either the Universe is just not talkin to me now...or the FTE IT guys got other things on their To-Do List.

 

I had trouble getting in using java, but after taking Nuthin's advice I finaly got in with no problem, I built my puter thought i
'd messed up some way but guess not. But I missed last night. Need to bone up on my typing speed ya'll are to fast for me.

 

I tried the firefox thing a bit ago and it seemed to work. I guess when I want to chat I can just start up the firefox and go that route. I'd sure like to make it where it worked with Internet Explorer.
With the internet explorer I did try hitting refresh several times...I could get a quick flash of the chat but that was all...I gave up after a few times..maybe I should try for 20.

I tried last night. I saw that Brian and hotrod48 were in there and I figured I stop in and say hello.....maybe next week

Yeah! Bobby and Rusty are in now. Now we just need to get Randy and Dick in. Hmm.....

Bobby that's all I get is a flash with java but no probs with the other. I just fixed it so all i have to do is hit an icon and Firefox takes me to the chat. RUSTY

Tonight doesn't count, I was in bed at 10, then the voices started, been argueing with them sine 11.

 

Pffft! Simple solution for that: Act like you're married to them. Just say "Yes, Dear" and then ignore them completely.

I got real good at that by way of Two Wives and a whole bunch of Girlfriends.
Thses are different though, they come from another place and time.
