Engine serial numbers
OK, so I went to get a water pump last week for the '96 and there is a difference in them, 94-94 and 96 and up. I got the 96 and up pump and it was the wrong one, so I think the engine is a 94 or 95.
THe serial number next to the oil filter is 85005
anyone know what year this engine is????
just curios, it would be nice to know though.

i am guessing if that is the right number it is either a 94 or 95. i got a 97 and my number is in the 500k range i believe. i was just reading a post the other day about some guy that was able to pull all kinds of info up about your specific engine as it went down the assembly line, if it had any problems and the born date. i cant remember if it was here or on tds. if i come across the post again i will let you know.
