I have been trying to buy a brush guard and it seems most of the builders cut off at the 1999 year. Is there a difference between the 1998/1999 F150's and Expeditions front frames?

 

There is a difference on the 97-98 and 99-03 in the bumper and grill, but I don't think there is any frame differences. Might be a mounting issue?

 

I just got my grille guard, I dont see why manufactuers make any distiction there. I know of a couple that don't. The big diff is whether you have front tow hooks or not, but thats more of a 2wheel/4wheel drive thing. The only thing that would make a difference bsides towhooks that I can think of is the bumper. 97-98 bumpers have the "molded bumper" that indents in the middle of the vehicle, and 99-03 have a bumper with a continuous curve.
