Na yall are just the reason that there are at least ten houses going up right now that are probably about 15,000 square feet with 6 car garages that cost 1 million+ dollars and one of my friends has a wenkel rotary mazda Rx8 for his first car, he is sixteen and has gotten in two wrecks if want cheap gas go to west texas get a job in the oil industry. the problem is if it goes down its hell here I will say if the feds put a cap on the price of crude they also need to put a bottom on it. but hey listen to the canuck its cheaper than there . its not the oil companies it opec and the arabs

The fact is that oil companies are making a KILLIN out here in the west. I work with all the reifineries and they all BRAG about how they are making record profits. What is happeneing is the dumbing down process. Raise gas higher......then lower it some but not all the way......then a little higher then the first time and back down...but not all the way and so on and so on until $3/gallon gas looks like a great deal.

Bear when I said Premium was 4.26 a gallon there were a few things to take into consideration from your geographical location to mine.
#1 Canadian dollars are only 78% of yours so a gallon in US is $3.33
#2 Canada pays higher fuel taxes... result Alberta has no deficit or sales tax
#3 My town is 300 miles north of the nearest community so we pay a freight charge of .10 per litre(.38 a gallon) to get it here so we may enjoy the isolation
#4 People in Fort Nelson get a Northern living allowance of $5400 a year so the provincial gov't needs to recoup this somehow
So to live in a country with free medical, and only 30 million people in a country 1.5 times the size of the US, more wilderness, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no emission laws, and low income tax (min wage is $8.50 an hour)... I'll pay extra for gas but to convert it back your gallon prices work out to $3.11 so there isn't really a difference from country to country.

My problem with motorcycles......when I retired I bought a new Harley Road King, and it gets 50 mpg.

Carl... your right, I never thought about it like that. I can't complain about her tho, she saw me looking at my new Ford Racing catalog, and she said why don't you quit messing around with that old greasey 390 and buy one of those purty 514's with the shiney head thingy's?

Cap't Tea Bag, I only pay $700 a year for my 71 f-250 full coverage and only $1000 for my 95 Bronco. Windshield, 2 million liability, to and from work, pleasure, fire and theft, the whole nine yards you get the picture. I think in BC the insurance is ridiculous but in the prairie provinces it is about 20% cheaper.
Bear.....I hear you. Lately it seems we pay taxes on top of taxes. Inflation goes up way faster than wages. Nowadays if a guy wants to survive and get the odd weekend at the lake you NEED to have a double income household.
I went to the pub for lunch today with my wife for a business meeting and you know I grabbed the tab for the table and nearly s*it my pants. 3 TAXES!!! GST(goods and service tax) PST(provincial tax) and PLT(provincial liquor tax)....What the hell is a liquor tax??? 6 drinks had 2.63 plt on it(10%). Bad enough I paid 4.25 for a beer but to put 3 taxes on it was retarded. Back in the Eastern provinces they have buck a beer nights. That's a dollar for a bottle. You know they still made money that night so what's with our society putting up with price hikes? It's because we are all a bunch of sheep and the Gov't just herds us where they want us.
I need to go now I'm getting too fired up and I'm babbling.....I'd have a beer if the gov't didn't take my last $3 in tax....
