IMHO Eclipse is the best out there. I'm saving up to put in the CD8454 in my Bronco II. I did have an Eclipse HU in it about 2 years ago, but it got stolen along with everything else I had in there. But the sound quality is deffinately A+. The AVN5435 is an excellent Navigation/DVD player. It has everything needed to make it a full theater in your car. If I were you and I had the money, I would most deffinately go for it.

Thanks for the opinions guys! I had decided to use it. It was really a toss up between it and the Kenwood, but I have never been a Kenwood fan, so the decision basically made itself.
I'll just have to decide where to get it from. The local shops want around $2300, ebay is running around $1800. I like the ebay price, but hate getting larger price items on there because you really never know who you are dealing with.
The end setup is going to be the AVN5435 in the dash, a 7" in the back of each seat with DVD in the rear for them, new 4 channel to replace the Kicker in there now, and a new amp for the sub. The rear seat is probably coming out for 2 buckets and I'll fiberglass a console form the front to rear. Haven't decided on how the back will end up. Right now, its just an old JL 10" in the back pocket. I will either replace it with something new, or I'm looking at glassing the rear covers for a 10" on each side. I want to keep as much room as possible in the back for lake trips, etc.

The warranty will be good to have. I would not buy one used off ebay. I doubt I would buy one 'new' off ebay. Just one of those items where my pessimistic attitude doesn't trust the person... Its just too high price of an item. I'd rather pay the extra couple of dollars and get one I know where it came from.
Jake - Thanks for the offer. You might be hearing from me pretty soon. The X will be back in a week - then I've got a few fiberglass projects to finish up and fit. While they are at the paint shop, I'll be starting the interior then...

If your looking at the AVN models, then you probably want to think seriously about professional installation. The GPS portion of the install looks like it runs antennas and components all over the vehicle.
Also, at the end of the month Eclipse is releasing the AVN5495, which combines the popular navigation features with the equally popular music juke features found in the AVX line. It has a 30 gig hard drive, 20 gigs for music and 10 for navigation data.
This is the model I'm holding out for, and it's almost here!
