first off, unless someone put in the 351, it is a 352 which is a decent motor, has alot of torque. and as for mechanical defects, everyone has different problems but the main thing to check for is rusting, with me it has mainly been the inner fenders and the cab mounts. thats about all i have had wrong except for the gas milage. but then again i have a heavy foot.
