Monroe?

i changed my rear shocks yesterday and the ride hasnt gotten any better. the front ones made a marginal diffrence, and when i swapped out the rear ones it seemed to make the whole thing worse. i cant put the old rear ones back on cause i cut them off and they are shot anyhow. what gives? what should i do now?

none now. i drove for about 45 minutes to a friends house and on the ride back home it was way better. the problem i had was that it was hitting bumps way harder and the back end felt like it was about to swing around every time i turned a curve. it is much better now and rides like a dream. my friend said that shocks have to be compressed before they are installed to ensure a good ride right after installation. he said the reason is that when they sit on the shelf in a parts store something or another happens to them and they wont work right until they are compressed a few times. dont know nothing about it but my truck rides better than it did when i first bought it.
