will not start

89,f150,5.8 turn key on, no fuel pump ticking, tried 2 new relays, just cranks, checked for fuses, all good, checked spark, all good, just cranks, checked fuel pump shut off on inside firewll,ok. will put my code tester on shortly. switched tanks,same thing, i put in a new relay 2 months ago because old one was rusty & it wouldnt start then. it worked good til yesterday. thanks for any suggestion

Check the small ground wire on the NEG post of the battery for a good ground.
If not that check the wiring under the sockets for the EEC Power and Fuel Pump relays.
The brown one is the power relay and the green one is the fuel pump relay.

i put my code tester on & tried to get codes, nothing, put my tester on another truck & my tester works fine.. cant get any codes, or click ,click, click. cleaned my connectors, still nothing?????????

i duno first time my truck wouldnt start was the tfi module and the second was the crank or pickup sensor in the distributor .

Sounds like the computer is bad if that small ground wire coming off the NEG post of the Battery is OK.
Is the Power relay working when you turn on the key?

there are no click,click, click from anytging. even when i unhook the batt. & reconnect no clicks, it just cranks. i took off the right kick panel & there is no comp. mod. in there. where else might it be??????????? other times when i unhook batt. & reconnect i always had clicks.

If the EEC Power relay is not making a clicking sound when you turn on the key it is not the computer at this point.

You may have a bad Ignition switch, EEC power relay (Brown) or its socket or wiring under it. It could also be an open fuse link at or near the starter relay on the fender.

Also make sure you check the small ground wire coming off the NEG post of the Battery is OK.
