Add a leaf

I have a 95 F150 2wd and I want to add a leaf. I want to know how you are supposed to install it? And how much this would lift up my rear end. Also how long will this take to do?

The installation is pretty easy. Some go between the existing leaf pack and the axle, some go over the leaf pack. The directions should cover it pretty well.

It won't lift the rear end at all, but it will increase the load capacity and give it a stiffer ride. It took me a couple hours to install mine.

I got mine at Autozone. I think I paid $35 for 2,000 lbs of capacity.

Depending on the spring manufacturer will determine how they install, some go on the bottom of the leaf pack with all of the existing leaves, some require that 1 or more of the originals be removed and so on.Most Add-a-Leafs will give you 2-3".I'd plan on an afternoon to install them depending on the equipment you have/have access to.

You can also check salvage yards for heqavier suspensions. I'm planning an F350 leaf pack transplant for my 85 F250.

It ain't nuthin' but nuts bolts and jackstands...
