Missing bolts
I Have a '81 f250 that was a forestry truck.The tag on the doorwell
lists it as having been sent out to have a utility box put on and finished. The truck and box are in good shape and it has a monster rearend. A dana 70 I believe it is much bigger than most rearends on any f250 that I have seen. Anyway, I pulled the motor last summer and had it rebuilt. RV cam , new pistons, heads ,elderbrook intake
with 600cfm carb. and stored over the winter.Somehow the exhaust bolts
bell housing bolts ,water pump bolts, and starter bolts hav come up missing.
What is the fastest and easiest way to replace these bolts making sure to get the right ones?

Missing bolts
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-May-02 AT 11:46 PM (EST)]Measure the thickness of the flange of the part that is to be bolted on. Add about 3/4" to the length going into the block accounting for a lock-washer. The water-pump bolts will be the tough ones. Every one of them are different lengths and some of the long ones may be hard to find at the hardware store.
Most of the bolts you have mentioned will be 5/16-18 (1/2" wrench) or 3/8-16 (9/16"wrench). You may have a few 7/16-? (5/8" and 11/16" wrench) bolts on front of the heads.
