the flowmaster 40s sound great on my friends silverado, but does anyone here have a flow on ther F150 Supercrew that knows if it sounds as loud or strong
Not real sure on a Superduty, but I've heard them on a '94 f150 with a 302. It sounded pretty decent. Pretty loud and noticable, some crackle at WOT but not too much. If you have cats, it will cut the sound and crackle, but it should still sound alright. Each vehicle is a little different. If you are lucky you can find an exhaust shop that will let you test fit the muffler to see if you like it.
$200 including tips. Duals straight out the back. Sounds good but it isn't that loud. Was thinking about Magnaflow but this set up was about $225 cheaper. So far I love it!
Therefor stating it was Si/Do. And if, in fact, it was true duals, he miss informed us. LOL. (I pay attn to the details too often) I think I paid $120ish for mine Si/Do. Pipe, Labor, everything. I've definatly seen a worse bill.
lol, forgot about that little title. My 302 was hard to make loud.
I ran it with a glasspack. Very little rumble.
Ran it with no muffler, just the 2 cats. A little louder, but still quiet.
Took off the bigger cat. WOW!, very loud and deep. hehe i'll just shut up, im hijacking thread .
i paid $207 for true duals on my truck, then a few months later i got the back half of my exhaust redone so that it came out the sides at 45 degree angles and that only cost me 60 bucks, 20 a piece of tips.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but now I'm curious. What are you running for exhaust right now? Straight piped from the cat back? I put a SI/DO FM 40 after the first cat on mine and it's fairly loud, but not quite as much crackle as I'd like...I'm rather curious how it sounds without the muffler.
