If you have it, go ahead and use it, it'll work fine. Before installing it I would measure the ports on the heads and compare it to the manifold, and port / enlarge as necessary.

If you're looking to buy one, I'd get the Edelbrock Performer RPM. Much lighter, and works good.

Yes it will. Ford aluminum lowrisers are selling for $300-400 on ebay in good useable condition. A little less damaged or helicoiled. Well sought after by the Galaxie guys for original restorations. If you find one cheap grab it. If your looking for an iron one they will be cheaper. I see iron low and mediumrisers for $50-75. You can also find a nice older used Edelbrock aluminum for $150+ or so. The Performers are pretty cheap and the RPM I've seen around $175-200 tops both used. If the extra weight of the iron intake is not a factor it is the cheapest way to go and there are lots of them around. Some of the "S" code and CJ iron intakes are getting up there in price though. Again original restorations bring them up in price. Seems most of the stuff that was discarded long ago for performance items and upgrades you couldn't give away back then. Now to buy them back costs you a small fortune! G.
