Procomp Distributor?

Anyone here using a ProComp Distributor for their bronco or Ford? I'm just trying to find the scoop on these things. To see if the quality is better or equal to MSD. They are cheaper in price. Any comments?

well...i bought one. $100 less than MSD. Practical the same. T6061 billet aluminum casing, comes with pip, TFI, rotor, and cap. Ready to drop In! YA RIGHT! Looks pretty good and all.

At first, the dizzy didn't want to go in all the way. Leaving about 1/4" of space from where it would sit. I was thinking the housing and the pilot (which goes to the oil pump rod). Checked the housing, which was tight but not exceeding. Checked the length. The dizzy didn't have a guide at the end, where the pilot is? Now I was thinking "darnit it's too short at the end". I also measured the pilot hole, which turned out a little on the tight side.
Went back to the Racing shop, They checked it out and tested it out on a rebuilt block and the sucker slipped right in! I felt like a *******.
Went back home, tried it again. no luck! 1/4" short!!.....I sat there looking at the darn thing for hours. Until I stumbled to look behind the dizzy. BE HOLD...A FUEL RAIL STICKING OUT JUST ENOUGH TO STOP THE DIZZY FROM COMING DOWN. The Housing was too thick on the outside. The dizzy slipped in for the shop because they didn't have a fuel rail on theirs.
Now, I'm thinking whoever built this dizzy didn't do their research. So, I called the racing shop back and said to them that I had a problem with the dizzy. In short, they got VERY BITTER about me wanting to return/exchange, especially when I said if they can match a price for the MSD #8456. Boy, they even got VERY BITTER when I said it was Kragen Auto Parts. Kragen $269/Hawaii Racing $300. All I wanted was a Ready to Drop In Dizzy!
They said come back to the shop. They'll do something about it. All in a BITTER matter may I add. So, when I get there. The shop was CLOSED! at 2pm on a Saturday, I was just there that morning. I drove 50 miles! ....[....I do have the words for it but will restrain here......]

I said "WTH!"...bought a Dremel Tool and went to town on the housing. Got the housing done and drop her in. Fine start....

In short, was it worth the cost? NOPE ....Will I buy from that shop again?NOPE ... Did I learn a lesson? YUP! [Don't buy things that is too good to be true]
