Ranger problem

Have a 92 ranger with 3.0, starts up runs for about 2 minutes and then shuts off like someone turned off the key or disconnected the battery. Then it wont start until it sets for about 10 minutes.any ideas?

Does it crank over but not start during that 10 minutes or does it do nothing?
If it cranks, could be a clogged fuel filter.

Welcome to FTE!!

During the course of the no start, you need to determine if it has spark and fuel. This will help narrow down what to next focus on.

I think it sounds like a fuel problem. Can you hear the fuel pump? Check spark.

remember the basics air,spark,fuel (suck,bang,blow) start with the basics then work your way into the more complicated problems. let us know how you make out.
