Looking for an aluminum A-Frame to hang my 2000 Lb.air powered hoist from. Cannot be more tha 12' wide and 9' tall. Also it must be easily dismantled and transportable to other jobsites. Does any one know of a source for such a thing?
Thanks Torquefirst for your reply. I already have a truck mounted 2000 Lb. hoist but it does not go indoors very well. I repair air compressors in my shop and some of them are quite heavy, and even subassemblies are heavy enough to require the use of lifting equipment. A 20" dia. piston/rod assembly can weigh a hundred pounds and require lifting up to ten feet high or more. I already have an air powered hoist but nothing to hang it from.
Thanks to you too Maximum4X4. I willl be looking imto your link and calling them for pricing info. I worry that being hospital grade equipment will drive the price sky high. We'll see.
I sure have enjoyed my time on this forum. I have learned alot about my truck and also enjoy the shop related section. There are very interesting questions posted there.
I am looking to build an A-frame someday but it will probably be steel. Has anyone seen any good designs out there? I am looking at something in the 2-3 ton range.
