Hi! I have a new project, 46 Ford puckup with a 53 V-8 flathead. I am wanting to build a nice street pickup. The body is in good shape very little rust. There are no dents, body is very straight. The guy I got it from had started the rebuild, by puting the 53 Truck engine the 46, and had the seats recovered. I have been trying to buy this truck off him for a long time. It blonged to his Dad. He bought the 46 new. I am wanting to know a few things that I can do to rebuild this truck. I would like to keep as much orginal as possible. I would like to build the engine for a little play. I know that there is only so much power you can get out of a flathead. But I really want to stick with the flathead. I am hopeing that someone can help me with ideas. Like engine rebuild, body rebuild, chassie, instrument panel rebuild, ect.
Thanks Randall

rrm99a,
Look in HotRod magazines website search for "Ford flathead" there is a company that has the plans to Supercharge a flathead V8. I have a 1950 that I have been going to do that little trick too for a long time I hope I get it done in the next five years. I am a great procrastinator.
