Help Please
I have an 86 F250 4x4 460 I want to get rid of the plastic radiator, I understand that 84s had all metal radiators, radiator supports are the same from 80-86 so can anyone tell me where I might buy the brackets, hardware, & rubbers to mount the 84 radiator. The closest auto wrecking yard is 200 mile away. Thanks

You can buy rebuilt rad's from ANY local rad shop in your area, I have replaced a 86 rad (temporary solution cause of leakdown pressure with the old one) out of a 77 model (simply supplied the holes that should be there with a drill and bit and it will work) Then when I was ready for the real new rad. I had it ordered from a local company that specializes in custom made applications...and had only supplied the old rad that was a leaker and 180.00 for the new redesigned rad. It came in the color of silver and relpels heat because of the wider passages inside it....your choice is simple, but cheap, get poor results , pay a little extra and know what to expect...and you'll get just that in return, with a good finished product.
