new to the older ford any tips?

Just recently bought a 1979 f150 4x4. it says on ranger f150 xlt is it a ranger or a f150? has 351m short box any thing to get me going?

just bought a 79 fi50 ranger xlt so it says. a ranger or a f150

what is it ? Shortbox 4x4 w/351M

It runs great !

Any tips guys ?

it is a f-150 ranger. it is a trim package type deal like eddie bauer or explorer or sport. the 79 is one of the coolest.

The ranger back then denoted a a Breed of F-series trucks.

It later became a completely different model (ie: 1/4 ton)

yea, they made f150,f250, and f350 rangers. it's just a trim level.
