[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-Feb-02 AT 00:00 AM (EST)]Around this time of year it is easy to spot the intellectually challenged and the lazy SOB's that litter this great country of ours. Take this moron for example. This picture was taken today at my local grocery store.

Please folks, clean off your trucks! Before I pull out of my driveway after it snows you'd never be able to tell that my truck wasn't in the garage that night. I have 4 kids and an Excursion. I don't think anyone has an excuse.
A couple a years back, I watched helplessly as a 4' square piece of ice flew off the roof of a truck in front of me. I was boxed in goin' 70 mph. There was nothin' that I could do but wait for the inevitable. (luckily situations like these cause us to see everything in slo-mo.) It hit dead square in my windshield. I drove two exits down with my cut up face hangin' out the window to the glass shop.
If it had been my wife, she'd probably be dead now.
That one is a prime example of people being just plain lazy. Lets see. I want to drive a 4000 lb auto around while looking through a itty bitty hole. Not. I see that all the time though.
My pet peeve is the one where they never think to clear the headlights, turn signals and brake lights.
I'll bet you were after that ice took out your windshield and part of your face. Your points are right on and well taken.
If they can't clear their vehicle they shouldn't drive it. I think in most states that is illegal to drive with a obstruction anyway.
On Wednesday afternoon,I was taking my wife to meet her friend for coffee.
On the way there,I took a shortcut through the university campus.
The cars were just a flying out of there.
Anyway,we were driving toward a light when it turned RED,
The car up front(2 ahead of me)stopped for the light,The car Dircetly in front of me Stopped too,But not before she rear-ended the car in front of her.
As Jerry Lee Lewis would say:
"There's a Whole Lotta Shakin'Goin'On"
One girl (the one that hit the other)was just a cussing
at the other telling her she was so stupid because her tail-lights are covered in snow and she couldn't see them at all.
Well, I heard this and when I pulled around her on the right I said,"You aren't any smarter than the girl you just Bawled out, because
YOUR tail-lights are covered over by snow also, learn not to tail-gate.
My wife never laughed so hard when she heard those girls"Go at it".
The world is FULL of Irresponsible Driver's.

I cannot stand those kind of people that can't clear their windows or anything else. These people are just plain lazy and should not be tolerated. I could go on all day on this subject but I'll just throw in another example. The lazy people who think that rear defrost is a replacement and excuse to not clear of your back window. I like to say, its not that vehicles are not safe, stupid people are not safe.
man people are so lazy now. it takes only a few minutes to clean off all the windows on a car or truck. like it's commin sence. windsheild scrappers are only a few bucks.
in winnipeg it's scary. people drive with little 2 inch peep holes.
sometimes i wonder why people do such weird things sometimes

Just the windows? No, you should take *ALL* the snow
off the car, I've seen those 6" piles on the roof wind
up on the windshield under heavy braking...and the wipers
ain't gonna help...

Yup! Right on!!
When I pull out of my driveway, you'll find absolutley NO snow on my truck! I got one of them snow brooms (the square piece of styrofoam type stuff) on a telescoping handle to make sure I get the roof, too. For me it's almost 7 feet up! Why someone in a Honda can't do it is just plain criminal to me...Sometimes I wish I were a State Trooper.
It isn't snow but... while traveling from Tenn. with my aunt driving, something flew in the window and smacked me right in the cheek. It was the mouthpiece thingy (tech term) for a cigar! It was made of wood, which was split. I saved it, it's around here somewhere. What if that were to hit the driver in the eye instead? What if it were a lit cigar or cigarette? GRRRR
Speaking of things flying at you while driving, my first cousin had an entire over-the-rail plastic bed liner fly out of the truck in front of him on the interstate and land covering the top of his truck! :-staun
