only backwards?
this bronco I picked up has a hole or soemthing of the sort in one of the tranny lines.....its an automatic...and in the forward gears you have you rev the hell out of it jsut to move a little but in reverse it goes like swiss cheese. why isthis?

Transmission is shot, 1st gear clutches or one or more of the bands are shot. If the line broke, it lost all its fluid, lost pressure, and started slipping fricton parts inside the transmission that are used for 1st gear and trashed them. It either needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
