Seller says its a 300. The unique oil cap position and coolant hose to carb spacer says special order 262. A photo of the warranty plate would be nice to see. https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...063715801.html This Custom Cab looks pretty solid, has original issue CA black plates.

Mine definitely has a 262. The engine seems to be used in larger F series like the 600. I'm curious why mine has a 262 the id numbers on it don't seem to indicate type of engine. Most seem to have the smaller 233/223( I mix those numbers up).

 

My 63 had the 262 as well. Yup, prolly shouldn't have given that thing away (with original black plates), but I did.
