You know how it is...you need a simple part, and the one from a supplier costs waaaaay more than it should, and you get to thinking...hey, I could make something just as good for way less.
The cable for my parking brake release snapped. I ended up using an old string from my electic guitar .46mm (low E), knotted at each end, and slipped it into place It has done the job for two years now. Gives a whole new meaning to "tuning up" my truck
So what creative fixes have people out there used? I read one in this forum about fixing the catalytic converter rattle with oversize hose clamps. I loved that one.
Any others?
