Digital odometer
I have a 1999 Expedition 5.4L Eddie Bauer and have been having trouble with the digital odometer sometimes going off for extended periods of time, other times just going very dim and other times it's fine. There seems to be no connections to factors that could be causing it such as outside air temp, position of the headlight or the dimmer switch. All other electrical components work as advertised. I was wondering if anyone else has ever experianced this problem?

Look down a little bit at the thread about odometer blackout fixed. It is one of the best threads and fixes I have seen on this forum. This should answer your questions as well as give you a way to fix it.
