Getting around 14. I have come to the realization that it does not matter what kind of mileage it gets. It is a great truck and it gets what it gets, there is not much of a way to change it.

Disregard the message about the poor gas mileage. A friend of mine showed me how to use the computer....getting normal (~18 mpg). Haven't driven it far enough to calculate the economy, less than 500 miles. Just overreacting, I guess.
Great truck compared to my 99 Z71....

js4fn,

I have the same truck as you except it's an '05. I've had it for about three weeks and no problems with a little over 500 miles on it. Great truck and the Aspen Green two tone color combo has a nice 'classy' look as well.

By the time I go to bed at 3 pm tomorow I'll have just over 8000 miles on my reg cab F-150 falreside 4x4 with a 4.6 auto and 3.55 rear end. The only problem I've hd is keeping it clean, between farm work and hunting the black truck always seems to have a coat of dust that looks like hell, but at least I wash it often and wax it once a month this way. Not any mech. problems yet, just oil changes.

04 SCab Lariat. Couple weeks shy of 1 year that I have had it. 8K miles.
Flawless. No problems, only pleasure. Not been back to dealer.
It was delivered with "rail dust" on the hood (white), but I took care of
that myself rather than deal with the dealer.

5.4 std cab with 3.73 and no problems at all at 1,700 miles. Get 15 around town and 18+ on road and I got almost $9,000 off MSRP.

2004 F-150 5.4L SCREW FX4 3.73 Limited slip, 9,800 miles. Absolutely no trouble with my truck!! The only complaint I have is I can't find enough excuses to drive it!! Man I can't get enough of this truck!! I traded a 98 SCAB Off Road 4.6L and I can't believe the difference in power!!!!!

We just picked our 2004 5.4 XLT up with 17 miles on the clock -
got $9000 knocked off of sticker

Hopefully no problems here... what's the issue that some folks
are having?

Just passed 2K miles on my 2004 SCREW 4x4 Lariat. My wife drives a 2004 Volvo Loaded SUV and keeps asking me if she can drive mine!

HA! NEVAR!
