92 f150 how do you tell the difference between 302 and 351? when i bought this truck used the guy told me it had a 351 in it. but when i was looking at the truck on the upper intake it said 5.0L so i always thought i had a 302. so this is the problem when changing the plugs i bought ones for a 302 and they would not work because the reach on the plugs was to short. if it is a 351 does the 302 efi system make me lack in power?

if it says 5.0L on the engine, then it IS a 302. If they guy told you it was a 351, then you got the short end of the stick. I'm not a seasoned veteran, so maybe there is some freaky exception to the rule with block sizes or something, but it is a 302 as far as I've heard....
