Audio Help

I was wondering if anyone knew what the peak power and the RMS wattage is on a 2000 F-150 super cab.

I also was wondering which would provied better sound quality a Pioneer Head or a Kenwood head, below are the sites for both.

Kenwood Head
Pioneer Head

In my experience, Pioneer far surpasses Kenwood's quality. I had a friend with a fairly good Kenwood HU, and when I replaced my old Pioneer stereo with a better Pio he put my old Pio in his truck. The difference was night and day. Sound quality wasn't too much different, but overall the look, feel, and functions of the Pioneer are much better. And as a rule of thumb, the RMS wattage on just about any HU is ~20W.

Stock HU's usually come with an RMS of about 17 or less. Much more than that and they are likely to blow a speaker. Also on the stock HU's, when you turn the volume up, the HU turns the bass down and the highs up, to make it sound louder, but you will notice lowering in the bass, so that the HU is less likely to blow speakers. Personally I don't like Pioneer or Kenwood, in their early days, I think they were better, but they're turning into Sony, where they have gone cheaper and cheaper. I have a Blaupunkt HU, it was a little expensive but it is impressive. 7 Band EQ and I have different filters for each band of EQ, I can choose which Hz's I want to filter out on each band. And I have Sub-out and front and rear RCA outputs, and it has all the adapters for incorporating cellphones, and navigational systems, and everything plus it's 26 watts RMS per channel with 60W peak. Pretty good little deal for $350. Eclipse has good HU's too.
