im looking to add a performance muffler to my 98 expo. what kind will give me a deep manly sound , not like the rice burner glass pack winding. will i get the sound im looking for by just getting the muffler or do u have to change the whole exaust. anyone have one on their car. thanks
You're going to get a lot of opinions on this one. Personally I like the chambered types. The aforementioned IMCO is a good one; I have one on a Bronco. If you want quieter, a Hooker AeroChamber is a good one. You might also want to take a look at the MAC Flowpaths. They are very well built, and use the Helmholtz theory of sound control.
All of these mufflers will give a manly man sound, with no girlie man buzz........
