Detergent Usage
Before you all give me grief about this, I have a class survey, and thought I would ask you guys and see what you say.
If you were doing laundry, how much detergent would you put in a load? (assuming regular water conditions, not the soft water)
1/4 of a scoop
1/2 of a scoop
3/4 of a scoop
full scoop

First I'd like to say if your concerned with delicates.....Dreft Detergent is a good gentle soap. It cleans well....and it easy on fabrics. 
I try to stick with liquid soaps with bleach alternative.
I use the cap for measuring...as most most products provide.
Full loads get full measurement, 1/2 gets half......
If its my work clothes.....normal.
If its my work at home on the farm stuff.....I go with a couple cap fulls. Yukkie stuff.
Stuff like nice shirts, suits, ties.......I dry clean em...I hate ironing.

I’d put a full cup in. When I read the name of this thread I thought I was gonna get to tell everyone that you can use laundry detergent to boil the skin off of human heads, for forensic applications of course.

Full cap full supplied with detergent.
Use only liquid anything else is hard and clogs your septic over time

I use the first line for the wifes scrubs and my regular clothes, as well as my daughters. My work clothes and my sons clothes get the second line. 
We use the big 96<?> load liquid All and it works good...spray and wash for the grimed up areas.
