flooding problem?
My '94 ranger 4 banger normally runs like a top, but on occasion when I start up, I manage to stall it, then it will not restart for a couple of hours. Turns over just fine, just acts like its flooded, and not sparking at all. Just had a complete tune-up and recent timing belt replacement. Seems to have less power lately, also. I might also add that I am as much of a mechanic as I am a brain surgeon.

Welcome to FTE!!!

I would start by pulling the codes, see the link, pulling eec-iv codes in the tech info thread at the top of the forum.

i know, mine is injected, but i've never heard of flooding a FI vehicle.

I would check the the carb and make sure its not leaking any gas back into the carb and flooding it. cause my 79 was doing that for a lil while

Hey folks, thanks for the replies! Yes, it is fuel injected. I don't think it's an actual "flooding" situation, but that is the closest symtom I can compare it to.
