Predator programmer question
I have installed the diablo predator into my 02 PSD, I put it in the performance towing mode when pulling my trailer and the emissions light came after running for about 6 hours on a long trip to midwest. I'm pulling 12000- 15000 lbs. Is this something to be worried about? I have exhaust and tranny guages. The exhaust never runs hot unless I hog on it bur usually between 600-800. Any ideas would be great.

Ken What else will turn the SES light on? I have a regulator going to my map sensor and it is set at 18lbs. My SES willl still come on. I also never see boost levels above 16lbs and it will still come on. When I am not towing I can see boost at about 24lbs at WOT.

Thanks for the info, my wife has just left central Florida with a load of horses headed for the midwest trying to beat the hurricane and I didn't need a call from her saying that a lite was on in the dash if you know what I mean? I stayed back to hold down the fort. Oh yea,,, this is a great and informative site. Thanks to everyone who offers input!!!!!

Where is your thermal sensor for the pyrometer? Preturbo or post? The reason I ask is you should be running hotter then that towing that load. Esp if you are over boosting. If you are pre turbo good for you on the temps. If not I would be really careful as you are probably about 400 degrees hotter then you think. Just a thought.

It is post turbo. I was refering to the temps when traveling around 70mph or so not when pulling load. It usually is around 700 800 when towing , depending on how fast and hills and such

That is what I was afraid of, If you are overboosting your truck while towing, You are wayyyyyyyyy to hot. Pre turbo my gauge reads right about 800 degrees and about 1000 during acceleration while towing a 13,000 lb 5er. Hills I never over boost cause I drive by the pyro and never get above 1100 -1150 which means my boost is right about 15lbs. Be careful man post turbo can be even worse then no pyrometer. Just my two cents.
