Question Sound System and tires

OK 2 Quick Questions.

1 - Will the factory deck with the indash 6 CD changer work in my truck that has the single CD player? I listened to one that was in a Mustang and I love the sound and the 6 CDs.

2 - What is the largest size tire that I can put on my stock '02 F150 SCab 4x4? I am waiting for the new ones that came with the truck to wear out then gonna go with the BFGs AT/KOs.
Thanks all!

You can get the 6-pack in newer trucks so you should probably be able to add it to yours.
At the top of the forum is a "tire size chart".
You will probably find the info you need there.

I don't know what your paying for this factory Ford CD player but the one you heard in a Mustang has an external amp. So not only wont it sound the same but if your actually buying this radio for the sound benefit you might want to look into an after-market radio. They put out much more power and a lot cleaner power at that. Stock Ford radios are nothing to brag about.

As for tires if you do a torsion lift and cut a little plastic you can cram 315/70/17's, other wise you can get away with a 285/75/17

Thats what I needed to hear. I didn't know if the Stang had an external amp or not, extra speakers..... I have an Alpine that I took out of my old Bronco before putting it in for a restore. Fairly new so I will install that instead and implant the 2 amps I had before. Any suggestions on placement? I liked the solid crisp pounding of the subs I had in the Bronco. Not that buzzing sound but a punch like someone was kicking the back of the seat.

As for the tires, I am running 16in rims on mine right now.

You have an extended cab? I should see if i can load some pictures of my install. I have 2-12in subs that are in a box under the rear seat. I mounted the rear seats onto the box. I had to remove all the brackets and whatnot. I am running 2 amps. 1 is under the passenger seat (had to remove spare tire tools). The other I have in the center consol, its a pretty cool set-up. NOTE!! ALL of your stupid idiot Ford vacuums for your 4X4 and your A/C controls are right next to the battery. When you run your power wires keep them clear of the vacuum lines. Stupid stupid stupid Ford. Anyhow, if you have any questions or help with anything Im glad to help.

I don't think I can do anything with the center console. I have he 60/40 split bench with the center console that folds up to be another seat. But take pics anyway for the sub setup. I woudl like to see those.
