Bolt question

I am trying to replace some of the hanging hardware on the spare tire carrier for my 50 F-1. It is a bolt with a U-shaped end with a pin and cotter key arrangement. Any idea as to the correct name for this type of bolt?

Not sure. It is the original hardware to mount the tire carrier to the frame. One end in a round eye bolt and the other end is a long bolt with a U shaped end. The two are joined with a pin and cotter key.

Get a picture and post it

Get a cheap digital camera and post a picture. I assume you have a computer to use since you are posting here.

They are called a clevis. You should be able to get them at a bolt place or a place that deals in Farm parts.

I just checked out a site i have used in the past. Try www.mcmaster.com and do a search for rod ends or rod eyes. They have quite a few t choose from with dimensions. Hope this helps.
