Seating Question
Hey Guys,
I have an opinion question, I've got a 73 f350 Super Camper that needs the seat either replaced or recovered. Which should I do replace the whole seat or just get it redone? It has a kind of unique combination of both vinyl and cloth which might be difficult to reproduce for recovering. Is there even someone that makes that seat?
Any help in making this decision you be appreciated,

I was quoted $250+ to recover my old seat, so I went for a good used one. I got a seat from a '91 F150 XLT, it's contoured like two buckets, has headrests and fold down center arm rest, but will still seat 3 if needed. It cost me $150 and took 20 min to bolt in. Bench seats are a bolt in swap up to '96 if you use your old seat rails on the new seat.

I'd bought my '79 and wound up just replacing the bench seat with two buckets. (one of the pics in my wee gallery will explain exactly why I ditched the old one.)
It took some drilling (and a bit of welding for reinforcement), but I got a pair of Jeep Cherokee seats in there now (they were free, looked nice, and I'm not too picky.) I've got the SuperCab w/ a mini-bench in back, so I'm not too awful worried about the switch from bench to buckets. (truck specs in .sig)
One thing to keep in mind - you can re-use the seat belts from the old bench either in a new bench or even new buckets, so save those if you do decide to replace the seat.
