My truck as of late will not pull when you first start it up. If you get it started and put it in gear as soon as engine is started it will not go. But if i start it let it do its warm up idle thing idle goes back to normal it pulls fine as long as you want it to fluid is full and have had new pump and torque convertor put in it.

 

your not supposto start and go. you should wait a couple seconds before going anywhere or straining the engine. specially if your hauling.

every other vehicle i have had you could start and go unless was a cold natured Carburated vehicle

 

...for what it's worth here are 2 of the things that allowed me to get nearly 250,000 miles out of my 1970 F-100{owned from around 208 miles on it when I bought it till 1995 when the EX drove it away in the divorce]{I kept the 1990 F-150 and still have it today and it turned 247,000 miles just a few days ago before transmission finally went.
I allow my trucks to warm up a minimum of 10 minutes every first start of the day...in dead of winter 15-20 minutes.
...and of course oil changes every 3,000 miles.
IMHO trucks are just like a hard working women...baby them just a little in the morning and ya get a hard days work out of them just about everytime.

first time i had one that the tranny seemed like it was slipping when it was cold unless it was low on fluid which it isn't
