reading codes.. plz help

well picked up a OBD1 today to help solve my problems.. anyways with the key on truck off i got these codes 116, 542, 556 and the book says

116- engine coolant temperature higher or lower than expected

542- fuel pump secondary circuit fault

556- fuel pump relay primary circuit fault

so does anyone no wut this means? wuts a circuit? is it saying i need a fuel pump? or just a relay? i just don't understand wut its saying.. if n e one can help me clear this up.. as for the coolant temp im gona try a new censor for the firts part

for the fuel pump codes, check for corrosion at the fuel pump relay. Have seen this before, but it could still have other issues with fuel pump.

Erase the coolant temp code and run the truck for a couple days and see if it shows up again. It could have just gotten hot one day. If not it would be the sensor.
