Tailgate window electrical question
I just had a new tailgate window glass put in the '79 Bronco today (after I broke the old one over the weekend). The price wasn't toooo painful..
Anyway, I can't close the window completely. The window will roll up and then stop. It sounds like the motor stops when the window reach a certain point.
I just put a new motor (hence the broken window).
The window will roll down fine.
Is there a switch somewhere in the tailgate that cuts off the motor "automatically"?

Well, to answer my question, I did a search on this forum and found a link to the schematics. So no switch to stop the glass.
However, I did somehow fix the problem by spraying half a can of silicon lubricant into the glass runs and WD40 into the rest of the mechanism.
I also bypassed the safety switch, which, on my Bronco, was at behind the latch handle (at the center of the tailgate).
