ECU's

Does anyone know if the computers are interchangable from 99 to 97 Explorer if both have the 5.0. I don't know if they have conflicting programs or if the plug is the same.

There is a code on the ecm, need to call ford and they can tell you what ecm's will match up to the ecm you have. I did this with my T-bird when the ecm crapped out on it. I was not able to find a ecm to match it in the junkyard so I ended up having it reprogramed for around 450.00 bucks.
